Founded by Studio Leader and Passionate Makeup Artist Amy Nicole, Chic Studios NYC – Studio of Makeup Artistry opened its doors in New York City in 2009 as a professional studio that educates aspiring and established artists. Chic is best known for its one-of-a-kind 4-Week Professional Makeup Artistry program that is carefully designed to show the fundamentals and techniques of makeup artistry. The studio boasts an array of award-winning leaders, intense and comprehensive curriculums and offers lasting relationships with the Chic Studios Community.

Chic Studios NYC - Studio of Makeup Artistry is dedicated to providing our aspiring artists with the techniques and skills needed to succeed in the industry of makeup artistry, as well as creative, hands-on training, helpful career guidance and an extended invite into the Chic Studios Community.

We believe in intimate settings with no more than twelve students per instructor to ensure the greatest experience possible. And most importantly, we believe in those who take our programs, and their ability to shine and succeed in the world of professional makeup artistry.

First and foremost, those who are have taken a program with us, receive the ultimate Chic Treatment!  Our experienced Instructors & and friendly staff offer a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum taught exclusively in our studio environment. Our kits consist of Professional brand cosmetics, including MAC, Make Up For Ever & Smashbox to name a few. Upon graduation of any of our programs, you become a lasting member of the Chic Studios Community – a group of professionally trained makeup artists with access to exclusive events, makeup discounts, career counseling and up-to-date notifications of freelance opportunities.

Secondly, Chic Studios is a boutique style learning studio, that trains it’s artists to succeed! Unlike other programs, our 4-Week professional program allows students to focus solely on the fundamentals and techniques of makeup artistry. During the final 14 hours of the professional program (last week), students study a specific concentration, such as TV & Music Video Makeup, Period Makeup, and Fashion & Runway Makeup, along with participation in a professional photo shoot to begin their portfolios.

Upon completion of the program, students receive a “Certificate of Professional Makeup Artistry."
